Re-visiting 2007: Sweet Potato Introduction

Hi family,

This post is mostly for you. James is editing old videos (our old camera broke, so we have no way to watch them now unless we get them onto DVDs finally...), and so re-visiting all these adorable first year moments makes me want to show you all some of them! Sweet nephew Isaiah's first feeds (we've only seen picture--video posts soon????) reminded me of this moment when we introduced sweet potatoes to the babes (their first food after rice cereal). I love it.

It reminds me of the kids today--William is always eager to eat and excited about new foods and tastes (and upset if his meal gets interrupted!). Ellie rarely cares about food (exceptions being buttered bread, marshmallows, Cheetohs, and...sweet potato fries) and would rather be doing something else usually. She's usually at the table for 75 minutes at night until she finally puts a few bites in her mouth (I really need to set some type of time limit...) And Joshua (for a long time, and still today to a point) would prefer to drink liquid meals 24/7, but will usually try to humor the cook and put on a good face even if he's not really into the food.
